OUR JOURNEY
For over 30 years, we’ve been committed to creating durable, high-quality products for animals. Initially, we designed and manufactured dog collars and horse halters using traditional nylon webbing. While nylon was reliable at the time, we always sought something more advanced – materials that could endure the harshest conditions and deliver unmatched performance.
In 2001, we discovered BioThane® – a revolutionary material that would change the way we crafted animal gear. After purchasing a BioThane® horse halter from a local artisan, we put it to the ultimate test. We left it outside, exposed to rain, snow, and extreme temperatures for four years, hanging on a post near a stallion pen. Despite the harsh elements, the BioThane® halter showed no signs of wear or degradation. It was clear that this material was far superior to nylon, offering unmatched strength, flexibility, and longevity.
Remarkably, the original halter is still in use today, having only required one hardware replacement in 2024 due to a horse pulling back and damaging one of the rings. This experience solidified our belief in the durability and performance of BioThane® and shaped our approach to product quality. At Equine Connections For Performance Inc., we rigorously test all of our hardware, ensuring that you know exactly what each piece can withstand. Our goal is to give you complete confidence in the reliability and longevity of our products.
Inspired by these experiences, we founded Equine Connections For Performance Inc. in 2023, dedicating ourselves to creating robust Canadian made products. As part of this commitment, we formed BïoBlü, a product line within Equine Connections For Performance Inc., focused on crafting high-performance, durable, and customizable BioThane® animal gear that meets the ever-evolving needs of our customers and their animal companions.
